CLASSES AT MTMRUN BY EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGISTS

Starting Classes at MTM

All new class members are required to complete an initial assessment prior to starting classes. This helps us ensure the classes are safe and appropriate for you, while allowing us to tailor exercises to your ability level. After your assessment, you may move into one-on-one sessions or begin classes, depending on your experience and preference. We will discuss the best option for you during your initial assessment.

Clinical Pilates Classes

Our Semi-Private Clinical Pilates classes run for 60 minutes with a maximum of 4 people per class. This allows for a more personalised experience and close supervision throughout each session.

The classes are predominantly Reformer-based with a focus on strength, mobility, and balance. We also incorporate a range of studio equipment including the Cadillac-Trapeze Table, Stability Chair, and other small apparatus for variety and extra challenge.

Strength and Conditioning Classes

Our Strength and Conditioning Classes focus on building strength, improving fitness, and increasing overall physical capacity through structured, progressive training. These sessions run for 45 minutes and are suitable for all fitness levels. To maintain a high level of individual guidance and technique support, these classes are capped at 8 people. Our classes are suitable for people living with osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, and other musculoskeletal conditions and provide a motivating group environment.

Over 80’s Exercise Classes

Our Over 80’s Exercise Classes run for 45 minutes and are designed to help improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, and overall confidence with day-to-day movements. These sessions are a great way to stay active, maintain independence, and enjoy exercise in a social and supportive setting. To ensure everyone receives close supervision and individual support, the classes are capped at 6 participants per session.
