Clinical PilatesClasses at MTM
Our classes are run by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and are semi-private style which means that you will have exercises tailored specifically to you and your ability level. There is a maximum of 4 people per class for a more personalised experience and to ensure that you always receive proper supervision.
Our classes are Pilates-inspired and focus on strengthening, mobility, and balance. We use a range of studio equipment including Reformers, Cadillac/Trapeze Table, and the Stability Chair. We also incorporate balance boards, weights, resistance bands, and other small apparatus for variety and extra challenge.
Whether you are recovering from an injury, have a chronic condition, starting pre/post-natal exercise, or simply looking for a more structured way to exercise, this could be an ideal option for you.
Starting Classes at MTM
All new class members will be required to complete an assessment prior to commencing classes. This is to ensure that the classes are safe and appropriate for you, it will also allow us to better tailor the exercises to your ability level. You can then progress on to one-on-one sessions or semi-private classes. Your progression through these will depend on your previous experience and preference. We will discuss these options with you during your initial assessment.
Private Studio-Style Sessions (1:1)
These 45-minute sessions are one-on-one and are run by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. They will incorporate Pilates-based exercises using the full studio equipment as well as other small apparatus. This is ideal if you are new to using studio equipment or prefer more supervision and specificity. These sessions are also a good stepping stone into classes.
